1. GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE (GGB) - Ride a bike or walk one of the worlds most incredible engineering marvels while enjoying postcard perfect views back towards San Francisco. This is one of the most photographed sights in the world and you will certainly want your camera with you. If you want to opt for something less active, there are several boat tours of the bay including ferries to Alcatraz and Sausalito where you'll have stunning views, as well. Regardless of how you do it, see the GGB in all its glory with the best time to do so - at sunrise/sunset

2. ALCATRAZ - This former high-security prison offers a glimpse into the past of how some of America's biggest and baddest criminals were kept under wraps. The tour is not only historical, but may get your heart racing with the stories told by former inmates. The other awesome thing about Alcatraz are the stunning view from the ferry ride to and from the island, along with the views from the island itself! If possible, book early, and if you're up for a little more adventure, check-out the night tour!

3. CABLE CAR - Riding a cable car over the hills through San Francisco is not only a must do, but an incredibly fun experience. We recommend taking the Powell/Hyde or Power/Mason line from Powell & Market near Union Square. This ride will have you heading over Nob Hill and down to the Bay. You'll have some incredible views to take in - just make sure you hold on tight! To avoid long lines and waiting, take a ride early in the morning - they start at 6AM!

4. FISHERMAN'S WHARF, PIER 39, GHIRARDELLI SQUARE - This waterfront area (Embarcadero) covering 8 full blocks is loaded with souvenir shops, restaurants, and street performers. In addition, this will be your hub for starting many of your San Francisco adventures like bike riding, ferry rides to Sausalito, and the start of your Alcatraz tour. The area is very touristy, but it's like that for a reason - just be prepared. Other than it being the jumping off point for many activities, there are loads of food options (don't forget to have some fish and chips and/or dungeness crab!) and many unique shops around the area.

5. CHINATOWN - Chinatown in San Francisco is special as it's the largest chinatown outside of Asia. This massive section of the city is packed with good shopping and deliciously authentic restaurants. For us the number one thing to do in Chinatown is to eat! We highly recommend checking out "Great Eastern Restaurant" - so good, even President Obama had to swing by during his last visit. It is pretty busy at first, so "take a number" as soon as possible! After eating, wander the streets and check-out the herbal shops and other unique and authentic stores.

6. MISSION DISTRICT - What makes the Mission so awesome is the mix-match of culture. The district is still primarily latino and this is no secret with all of the bodegas, markets, and taquerias on every block. In addition to these are some of the most hip bars (check out our fave - El Techo de Lolinda) and eateries in all of San Francisco making for the ultimate cultural experience. You can have your pick, and oh, along the way, you'll enjoy some incredible murals that are found just about everywhere in the Mission.

7. FERRY BUILDING (AREA)- The Ferry Building is a massive building with an epic view of the Bay Bridge, as well as houses dozens of eateries and boutique food shops, which serve up everything from burgers to oysters and beer to champagne (venture off to the side of the ferry building). Also, do not forget the amazing baked goods and Anne's favorite...SWEETS

8. UNION SQUARE Union Square is one of the main shopping areas of San Francisco. It is home to all of the big name designers and department stores, but also has an incredibly beautiful square at the center of it all with artwork, as well as those giant selfie-op HEARTS. On the square is Emporio Rulli a simple cafe/wine bar that is perfect to take it all in.

9. TWIN PEAKS - Twin Peaks are the two largest "hills" in San Francisco and one of the is home to Sutro Tower, a huge communications antenna that is a well known symbol for the city. But, you're not hear for the Tower, it's all about the views. Tour the peaks at any time of day, but especially around sunset for magnificent views of all of San Francisco.

10. "AND MORE" (Should you find the "extra time," here are more places to help you fall deeper in love with this city and truly "[leave] your heart in San Francisco!") - Golden Gate Park (Have a nice cup of tea and take a pleasant stroll around the Japanese Tea Garden, quench your thirst for knowledge and visit multiple fabulous museums, and "stop and smell the roses" at the exquisite Conservatory of Flowers), The Presidio (Somewhere both kid and adult-friendly? Walt Disney Family Museum is perfect to discover how the "Happiest Place on Earth" came to be),  Alamo Square (Full House homes..."everywhere you look!"), Baker's Beach (Get another gorgeous view of the GGB), Coit Tower, Chrissy Fields (Our "first date"/engagement "special place" - don't forget to stop by the "Warming Hut" for souvenirs and a warm beverage - if needed), and so much more!
